A Tjakastad movie to be released soon

A new movie titled “Impilo Iwumlabalaba,” filmed in Tjakastad, is to be released soon.

This upcoming movie was written by the talented Bravo Mgabadeli and acted by a cast of young talents from Tjakastad, including the shining star Nomcebo Masowane, who is also a writer.

Nomcebo, who takes on the leading role, shared her excitement about the movie. She said, “I am thrilled to be a part of this project; ‘Impilo Iwumlabalaba’ is a story that needs to be told, and I am also honored to bring this character to life. The themes of identity, community, and resilience really resonated with me, and I know audiences will connect with them too.”

Nomcebo added, “Working with Bravo Mgabadeli’s script was an absolute pleasure. His writing is captivating. I think audiences will be blown away by the talent and dedication that went into making this movie.”

While the writer of the movie, Mgabadeli, said the movie follows the lives of several interconnected characters as they navigate love, loss, and redemption in a vibrant South African township,  “Impilo Iwumlabalaba”

The movie is for everyone, and the good thing about it is that it embraces our language, Isiswati, and we have a great team of producers. We did our best to make sure that we do everything very professionally, and we hope that people will love it. We are also trying to put our region on a good map,” he said.
